UFO Sighting Over Raleigh, North Carolina
I originally saw this object in the distance floating upright in a vertical position a few miles north east of me in a parallelogram or square shape with 3 to 5 red light at top and two lights at the base. When it returned it was flat and horizontal which is what we got on video.
In the video you can see it heading to the left of us then turning towards us momentarily . This is what we witnessed and the position of the lights shifting around in the video confirms this. When the object gets to the bottom of the screen it looks like a parallelogram with two lights in front and three blinking lights at the rear.
We didn't think the phone taking the video was picking any thing up at the time, so the lights zip back and forth a few times in the video as we tried to see them in the screen. Assuming we weren't capturing anything we eventually just stopped trying. Luckily we did capture this for a few seconds, which we realized later.
At the time of the video these lights were moving slowly and silently through the sky close to a fairway behind our home at Eagle Ridge Subdivision south of Raleigh, NC last Tuesday at the time of the video at 8:40 pm on March 10th, 2015. The light formation spanned the sky about 1000 to 1500 feet in altitude and 150 to 250 yards out in front of us. I would guess the light formation was probably a minimum of 100 to 150 feet from one end to the other and from my position my view of the formation spanned the width of the top of a large tree that sat about 40 feet in front of me as it (they) traveled across the sky behind the tree.
The object was moving slower than a golf cart. During the course of this video it had traveled less than 200 yards down the fairway. After this video was taken I walked down from the porch into the fairway and continued to watch these light drift away to the south west for another 8 to 10 minutes until it was no longer in sight. The lights remained in formation the entire time.
We had spotted these lights in the distance to the north of us about 10 minutes prior to this video and the object(s) had traveled north east and out of our view.
